 Let's Examine Characteristics of a True Friend

  • Loyalty: They stick with you through thick and thin. You can feel their connection with you and followership. They render to you what you couldn't do without asking for a return.
  • Honesty: They tell you the truth, even when it hurts. Yes - when it hurts, they draw your attention to things you did wrong and put you on the right path. They don't compromise, no, not because they want to please you, but because that's the way it should be, which will be best for you.
  • Empathy: They feel your pain and rejoice in your happiness. That is what a true friend does, they feel what you feel and be with you when no one cares, they enjoy your moment of Joy with you without envy.
  • Reliability: You can count on them in times of need. A Friend you can't count on shouldn't be your friend. You should be able to rely on your friend in thick and thin. No man has a reliable friend, and does not know it. It's real, it's pure and unconditional.
  • Encouragement: They inspire you to be the best version of yourself. A true friend is your motivator, someone who gives you the moral support needed to attain the heights of life. Even when you cannot do it, they give you reasons why you will succeed when you don't look like it. 
  • Sacrifice: They put your well-being above their convenience or comfort when necessary. Giving you their all for your success in life.


I have a friend, my namesake, when I got my first big pay job, he single-handedly sent me hundreds of thousands to change my waldrop to look good and competitive in my appearance upon my resumption. A true friend sacrifices to ensure you attain the best in life.
